| Project Description: |
CARE's prevention of sexual violence and community based psychosocial care of victims of sexual violence project will be implemented in Mutimbuzi commune (Bujumbura Rurale) and Gihanga commune (Bubanza province) in Burundi and aims to to reduce sexual violence and improve physical and psychosocial care of victims.
Specifically the project will in partnership with local associations and organisations carry out actions to ensure sexual violence prevention and provide medical and psychosocial care,and legal assistance, and improve socio-economic rehabilitation of 300 victims. The project will work to reinforce community level structures that provide support to victims of violence, their families and help the communities to prevent such violence. |
