This is a multi country programme with the overall objective to ontribute to poverty reduction in DRC, Burundi, and Sudan through supporting peace and security.
For Burundi the program aims to empower 24,670 conflict affected and marginalized households in 8 communities in Burundi to rehabilitate their livelihoods in collaboration with civil society and local government. The program will lift vulnerable households out of poverty by supporting physical rehabilitation of economic and social infrastructure to enhance their ability to withstand shocks. Improvements to education, water, food security and economic infrastructure will be complimented by activities to make access more equitable for women and marginalized groups. |
