| Local Links will work with partners (Teba Development and Church of the Province of Southern Africa)to target civil society structures, and government services reaching orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) in two provinces in South Africa, namely, Free State and Limpopo. The aim of the project is to develop a continuum of services to improve the lives of OVC directly, their families, and community through the following activities: 1. Voluntary savings and loan schemes which might spin off into income generating activities. 2. Programmatic and institutional development services to NGO and community/faith based organizations serving on appropiate structures to co-ordinare services, and to use these for advocacy efforts. 3. Advocacy efforts with and on behalf of OVC and service providers. | |
