The Capacity Building and Knowledge Management for Sustainable Land Management in Lesotho will design a project that is aimed at the integration of sustainable land management (SLM) into policies; strategies and programmes supported by the SLM knowledge management network; and capacity for up-scaling successful SLM techniques and models build at national and local levels; participatory, replication of SLM models and techniques that successfully address key root causes to the most serious forms land degradation.
By the end of May, 2006 the project will have designed a Medium Sized Project brief. The project targets primary stakeholders in land resources management in Lesotho such as the Ministry of Forestry and Land Reclamation, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Local Government and Civil Socirty Organizations whose programmes focus on agriculture, environment and natural resources. |
