| This project is based on the experience of the reproductive health project PROSAE II in Esteli and Matagalpa. The design of the project is based on the importance of participation by adolescents, local leaders, civil society organizations and municipal government representatives to improve the development of a democratic culture, as a strategy for a new generation. The first objective of this project is to strengthen the relationship between adolescents (clubs, students, young enterprise, social communicators and community organizations of volunteer promoters) to improve the networking. The project staff, in cooperation with MOH staff will develop one training plan to transmit specific topics to local adolescent leaders about the skills and capacities for communication, facilitation of self-help groups or clubs, advocacy and conflict resolution techniques. For this project CARE will carry out extensive advocacy efforts to create a "political dialogue" around the main problems of adolescents and offer solutions based in local development. |
