Friends and Healthy Schools in Jalapa, Nueva Segovia
Project Description:
The project for construction and rehabilitation of sanitary units is part of the Healthy and Friendly Schools Initiative (IDEAS), that the government of Nicaragua has acquired in coordination with the Ministry of Health (MINSA), Ministry of Education Culture and Sports (MECD) and the Nicaraguan Company of Aqueducts and Sewer Systems (ENACAL).
This project was developed with the objective of guaranteeing that 31 educational centers of Nicaragua offer appropriate conditions to 6650 elementary students from Jalapa (department of Nueva Segovia) to achieve harmonious biological and social development in an atmosphere of institutional well-being.
