The project purpose is to enhance the capacity of the CSOPNU coalition to conduct effective advocacy for peace and reconciliation. Therefore, this project will strengthen the coalition's advocacy activities, leading to increased support and creative ideas for a peaceful solution, and allow for more consistent efforts to promote peace. Activities include:
Capacity Building
Workshops
Research and advocacy related to the underlying causes of the conflict. The project will run from September 2003 - March 2005, and the DFID funds will be managed by CARE on behalf of CSOPNU. CSOPNU members will approve the workplans, which will be developed and overseen on a regular basis by the CSOPNU steering committee, made up of three international NGOs (incl. CARE) and three Ugandan NGO networks. |
