Current Disaster Relief Efforts and Emergencies

A male CARE staffer wearing a tan CARE vest walks with a small group of people down a road in Haiti.

We respond to dozens of global emergencies each year, reaching approximately 12 million people through our disaster relief efforts.

From Disaster Relief to Long-Term Recovery

Our decades of experience, expansive global reach and robust network of partners enable us to take a comprehensive approach to emergency relief.

First, we work with communities to prepare for and mitigate the impact of disasters.

Then, we partner with local groups to provide immediate assistance when an emergency hits.

And finally, we work with survivors, especially women and children, to help them recover after the crisis has passed.

Looking ahead, our goal is to create a flexible humanitarian surge fund to enable CARE to respond rapidly and effectively to up to four simultaneous large-scale emergencies, while addressing protracted emergencies. Donate today to help us reach our goal.
