We want to make it easy for you to help CARE fight global poverty and deliver lasting change. This online Volunteer Event Toolkit is designed to provide exactly what you need to begin sharing your creativity, time, enthusiasm and financial contributions.
Just follow the links below to find the option that’s right for you. Or even better, choose them all!
1. Sign up to Host an Event.
Please register with CARE so we can thank you for volunteering! Your registration will make it easier for us to provide you with resources, share information about your activities and assist you as needed. When you submit the sign-up form, you’ll instantly be taken to tools that will help you plan every detail of a successful event.
2. Fundraise -- two easy ways.
One way is to join those who are giving back on CrowdRise, the popular online fundraising website. Create your own CARE fundraising page or participate in an existing team’s fundraiser. To see how it works, click here.
If you prefer not to create a CrowdRise fundraising page, but still want to encourage your friends and family to make an online gift, that’s easy! Just have them visit our #TeamCARE online fundraising page (www.care.org/teamcare) to make their donation.
3. Invite CARE to speak.
Elevate your next meeting or event with heartrending and inspiring stories from CARE’s work around the world. CARE representatives are available to speak and to engage your audience in our efforts to end extreme poverty.
Click below to make your request and to give us the information we’ll need in order to prepare an inspiring presentation. Please note that speaker requests must be made six weeks prior to the event date, and are not guaranteed.
4. Become an advocate for CARE.
Join hundreds of thousands of CARE supporters who speak out on behalf of poor families and communities worldwide — urging their representatives to address the root causes of poverty. Advocate for lasting change by insisting that your legislators stand up for the rights of women, children and poor families. Be part of the CARE Action Network (CAN).
5. Celebrate CARE on social media.
Spread the good work of CARE through your social networks by using our quick-post templates. Your personal pages make great places to celebrate what’s good in the world.
