For more than 100 years, the world has celebrated International Women's Day on March 8. This special day recognizes advances made by women and girls all over the world. This day also reminds us to address the face of poverty by advocating on behalf of women and girls living on less than $2 a day.

Thank you for joining us at the 2012 CARE Conference to kick off your celebration with the viewing of Pray the Devil Back to Hell, in partnership with ITVS.

Please stand in solidarity with women around the world by taking action and reading our special International Women's Day Report

CARE celebrated the 101st International Women’s Day with a showing of the documentary film Pray the Devil Back to Hell, which was followed by a panel discussion and question & answer session. On the panel was Pray the Devil Back to Hell’s Executive Producer Abigail Disney, PBS’ President & CEO Paula Kerger and USAID’s Deputy Administrator Ambassador Donald Steinberg. The event was moderated by CARE’s President & CEO Dr. Helene D. Gayle. Hear what they had to say about global poverty and how empowering women can lead to a brighter future for all.
