global campaign for education

For the April 2003 Report Summary click here.

The Global Campaign for Education (GCE) is committed to attaining and ensuring the fundamental right to gender equality in basic education by 2005.

The GCE seeks to ensure that all girls and boys complete primary education by 2015, as proposed by government leaders in 2000 at the UN Millennium Summit. Ensuring basic education across gender lines is a necessary step in achieving the above stated goal. Without success on the education goals, there is little prospect of achieving the other Millennium Development Goals for halving poverty by 2015.

  • Educational International
  • Global March Against Child Labor
