On Monday, October 17, in recognition of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, people across the country will come together to commemorate CARE's National Day of Action.
This year's National Day of Action will provide individuals with the opportunity to stand in solidarity with the more than 12 million people who are struggling to survive the ongoing famine in the Horn of Africa. CARE is on the front lines addressing immediate needs including access to food and water as well as providing long-term development solutions.
Yet, it is critical that the global community, including the United States, not forget the individuals, families and communities struggling to survive. Through our National Day of Action, CARE and our supporters across the country will place a spotlight on this issue, walk in solidarity with those suffering and encourage our policymakers to take a stand and invest in programs that truly make a difference.
Please join us for this year's National Day of Action by doing any or all of the following three things on October 17: |
