Visiting CARE Projects Around the World: One Family's Adventure

This vehicle is especially made to travel around the world.
One family of CARE supporters is getting a firsthand look at CARE's projects in the field. They call themselves the Escampettes, after an old French word meaning "leaving without waiting for the change" that they adopted as a name for the project.

Along the way, they've encountered new people and cultures while providing their own independent account of what we do and how CARE is helping fight poverty around the world.

Click here to find out where the Escampettes are now!

With the goal of instilling their three children with a real understanding of the needs of vulnerable people everywhere, the Escampettes have visited CARE projects in Indonesia, where we're working with survivors of last year's tsunami and helping communities rebuild. They also plan to visit Thailand and India.

They'll also get a close look at our poverty-fighting projects in Laos, Nepal and Pakistan — where CARE works with communities and families to improve education, health care, nutrition and human rights.

We'll be updating these pages with more about the Escampettes and their visits to CARE sites around the world. Check back soon!
