A virtual presentation and discussion with Amy O’Toole, CARE’s Gender Programming Director based in Rwanda, and Aisha Rahamatali, CARE’s Regional Advocacy Coordinator based in Cote d’Ivoire on what CARE is doing to address gender-based violence in times of crisis. A virtual presentation and discussion of CARE’s first-ever foray into providing services in the United States, followed by break-out sessions by region. Guest speakers included David Ray, Acting Executive Director of U.S. Programs, Ryan Shepherd, Project Lead for the CARE Innovation Hub, and Alexandra Moncada, CARE Ecuador Country Director who highlighted the contrast between the U.S. crisis and what is happening in South America, including the Venezuelan refugee response.
