  • July 21, 2020 | National Committees for CARE Conversation Series: Gender-Based Violence in Times of Crisis
    A virtual presentation and discussion with Amy O’Toole, CARE’s Gender Programming Director based in Rwanda, and Aisha Rahamatali, CARE’s Regional Advocacy Coordinator based in Cote d’Ivoire on what CARE is doing to address gender-based violence in times of crisis. We will also have an opportunity to hear from Actor and CARE Ambassador Bellamy Young who traveled to Rwanda to witness firsthand CARE’s impact in communities and families.  View the recording here. 

  • June 24, 2020 | National Committees Conversation Series: CARE’s First-Ever Programs in the U.S.
    A virtual presentation and discussion of CARE’s first-ever foray into providing services in the United States, followed by break-out sessions by region. Guest speakers included David Ray, Acting Executive Director of U.S. Programs, Ryan Shepherd, Project Lead for the CARE Innovation Hub, and Alexandra Moncada, CARE Ecuador Country Director who highlighted the contrast between the U.S. crisis and what is happening in South America, including the Venezuelan refugee response.
