The Associated Press: Mozambique seeks $3.2 billion to recover from cyclones

The Associated Press quoted Mahmoud Shabeeb, CARE humanitarian communications manager, in a story on he massive amount of assistance needed for recovery in Mozambique. Some $3.2 billion in aid is requested after Cyclone Idai and Cyclone Kenneth made history as the first two tropical cyclones to hit Mozambique in the same season. “It’s getting worse with time, steadily,” Shabeeb said, “If people receive assistance, they eat.
