In March 2015, Helene D. Gayle, president and CEO of CARE, announced she would step down from CARE at the end of June to become the inaugural CEO of a new global nonprofit of McKinsey & Co. Read more about her new role in The Chronicle of Philanthropy and the The NonProfit Times.

On April 19, CARE announced that effective July 1, Michelle Nunn, a former U.S. senate candidate,  would become the new president and chief executive of CARE. The Atlanta-Journal Constitution broke the news on their Politics Blog, The Chronicle of Philanthropy also covered the story.

Local Atlanta broadcast affiliate, WSBTV aired an interview with Michelle Nunn as did 11 Alive’s Brenda Wood.
