CARE takes great pride in our financial efficiency and accountability. We work to maximize the value of every dollar we receive. More than 90 percent of our expended resources - among the highest of all philanthropic organizations - support our poverty-fighting projects around the world. Less than 10 percent of expended resources go toward administrative and fund-raising costs.

CARE IRS Form 990
Specific information about CARE's finances is available on our Form 990, the information return that tax-exempt organizations file annually with the Internal Revenue Service. Please note the Form 990 is labeled based on the starting date of the financial year, but contains information through June 30 of the following year. This is the same time period as CARE's fiscal year, which is labeled based on the ending date of the financial year. For example, the 2011 Form 990 and CARE's fiscal year 2012 both contain financial information for the period July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.
