CARE Nepal stands ready to support communities affected by Bhote Koshi River flash flood
On 26 August 2026, a sudden flash flood swept down the Bhote Koshi River from the Tibetan side into Rasuwa district, sweeping through Timure and Syabrubesi before moving downstream into the Trishuli River and triggering high alerts in Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, and Chitwan districts.

Colombia earthquake: Communities cope with loss, damage, and uncertainty
