| Economic Independence for the Women of Afghanistan (EIWA)-The goal of the project is to improve the economic security of households in the targeted areas in Kabul City through the strategic use of savings and credit groups (SCGs) and the establishment of a financially sustainable micro-finance institution (MISFA) targeting vulnerable women. Presently, close to 6,000 women are members of 250 SCGs and have received nearly 5,000 loans from the Microfinance Agency for Development (MoFAD). |
