Opportunities for Mother and Infant Development (OMID)- CARE's Humanitarian Assistance to the Widows of Afghanistan (HAWA) program, in collaboration with the Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health aims to improve mother and newborn health in targeted areas of Kabul by promoting change in health behaviors and habits of mothers and their babies, as well as in their families and communities. In addition, the project aims to increase access to services and gather information on growth rates .
