Project Description:
CARE Angola's capabilities enhacement through Good Practice for Food Security project (FAO/SPA) will have an impact through improved knowledge of good practices for agriculture and natural resources conservation for more than 300,000 people in the municipalities of Kuito, Catabola, Cinhunga and Andulo in Bié province by September 2007. CARE worked in the rural zones in Bié with a strong focus on promotion of food security and economic recovery. Through the FAO/SPA, CARE Angola will work in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture on rural development in Bié to identify and disseminate local experiences that substancially promote food security and income generation for poor rural residents and vulnerable people such as female heads of household, formerly displaced people, ex soldiers and people living with HIV.
