| CARE Angola's Community Water Partnership Program (CWPP) will have an impact through improved social conditions, health, and resilience for 46,000 people in the municipality of Kilamba Kiaxi and Viana in Angola by December 2007. CARE works in the peri urban zone of Luanda with a strong focus on promotion of urban good governance and economic growth. Through the CWPP, CARE angola will provide technical assistance and financial support to the water utility providers, the water infrastructure contractor, the local government and the communities to 1) increase access to potable water, 2) improve social networking, and 3) increase savings. The CWPP will also increase the responsiveness of the municipal government to its citizens and of the water utility service providers to its consumers. |
