| This program started in November 2007 and is implemented together with UNICEF to support their revitalization program and to ensure the attainment of the 11 commitments that were made by the Angolan Government towards the plight of children. The program will work with Municipal Administrations, communities, and the different sectoral departments to develop and implement municipal plans that will include programs specifically focused on child health, nutrition, education, and protection.The main goal of this intervention is to contribute to the attainment of the millennium development goals related to child survival and basic services. This will enhance the capacity to monitor and report on progress and impact of different development programs against universal agreed standard.It is expected that support to participatory planning and management of service delivery will devolve the responsibility of bringing together different actors that are involved in sectoral / thematic work, development agencies and higher level planning to contribute the same developmental goals and objective in the municipality. |
