| The goal of the project is to reduce flood risk and thereby achieve secured livelihood opportunities of the vulnerable and poor communities in four selected upazila of Sunamgonj district. The objectives of the project are: Enhance community capacity to effectively respond to flood risk reduction measures, Protect crops and household assets from flooding, Build capacities of community institutions and improve institutional linkages with other local governement institutions, government and non governement service providers, Improve communication and provide shelter on embankment for dislocated households during flash floods and promote plantation-based erosion protection measures. |
