| Project Name: | Cross-Border Anti-Trafficking Initiative in the Western Balkans |

This proposed program seeks to address ongoing challenges in building local capacity to address human trafficking and support greater efforts and awareness among the most vulnerable population in the region, the Roma.
Goal: Civil society actors and governments in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia prevent and
effectively respond to trafficking in human beings at the national and regional levels.
Objective: To strengthen the responses of anti-trafficking networks, civil society organizations (CSOs), and governments to address trafficking of human beings at the local, national, and regional levels by: building capacities of the anti-trafficking networks and their members; strengthening regional cooperation; and raising awareness of the dangers of trafficking among the most vulnerable population group (the Roma).
This will be achieved through interventions at the following levels:
National level:
1. To increase national anti-trafficking networks' capacity to analyze, monitor, and advocate for appropriate legislation and policies to prevent and respond to trafficking through an approach that fosters increased democratization, good governance, and coherence with National Strategies and Action Plans. |
