The Youth for Life project aims to strengthen youth organizational capacity, broaden their participation in civil society, and promote solid health behaviors for 5000 youths. The project activities are: CARE will help strengthen and/or form youth organizations with the purpose of undertaking community development activities to be selected by organization members; CARE and participants will identify, explore and exploit alternative channels for generating and sustaining dialogue among residents, including young people; CARE will train youth leaders as peer counselors, who will be able to offer other young people culturally appropriate information about reproductive health; CARE will promote youth groups to manage pilot development projects in the areas of reproductive health and income generation.
