Project Name:Reducing the Spread of HIV/AIDS in Ecuador Phase I and II
Project Description:
This project aims to diminish the spread of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ecuador. CARE International in Ecuador, as a secondary principle recipient, will assume the responsibility to implement the civil society component of the National Program of HIV/AIDS of Ecuador. The project will strengthen relations between the Ministry of Public Health and the civil society, develop projects focused on vulnerable populations, facilitate access to counseling services, improve the availability of condoms, strengthen participation mechanisms for the people living with HIV/AIDS and incorporate the HIV/AIDS issue in the public agenda.
