Project Name:Local Spaces for Inclusion and Educational Quality (ELICE)
Project Description:
This is an initiative developed by seven organizations working on the Citizens' Agenda for Education in Ecuador, and it aims, through a unified strategy, to make a significant contribution to the creation of national education policies that are more representative of the interests of the population, that are implemented in harmony with the rights of children and adolescents and that respond to the needs of local and territorial development.
More specifically, the project seeks to contribute to achieving universal access to quality basic education. The project promote a management model for the country to be implemented in 32 territorial educational circuits in 14 cantons of 8 provinces, a form of territorialized management that is anchored locally and oriented to the territorial, provincial and national levels. To this end, the project promotes action and participation at local, regional, provincial and national dimensions levels by social and civic organizations as well as local and national government entities, within the framework of a commitment to public and private co-responsibility that ensures inclusive, relevant and quality education.
