| The overall goal of the project is to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of the national HIV/AIDS response by increasing private sector participation. This will be achieved by encouraging private companies, leaders and workforces to improve HIV/AIDS and reproductive health knowledge, promote prevention, and tackle stigma and discrimination in their workplaces and at the community level, while building collaborative relationships among key government agencies, business associations, and individual companies. Objective 1: Support longer-term corporate engagement in HIV prevention by facilitating multi-sectoral dialogue and collaboration; Objective 2: Support 10-13 private sector companies and a few selected industry bodies to undertake HIV/AIDS and reproductive health awareness-raising activities for employees through trained company trainers; Objective 3: Strengthen the involvement of 1-3 private sector companies and their workforces in the planning and pilot implementation of HIV/AIDS awareness raising and stigma reduction activities in communities; and Objective 4: Support the development of HIV/AIDS workplace policies. | |
