The Project's overall objective is to contribute to the conservation, recovery advantage of Honduras' environmental management aiming at permitting the sustainable improvement of living conditions for the population and a reduction in poverty. The project's specific objective is to strengthen local management of natural resources within a sustainable development workframe based on the integrated management of water basins under a decentralized and broad community participation approach.
A goal of this project is to provide local technical assistance services which will make available some permanent experts as advisors for the civil society associations and local institutions for the accomplishment of the FORCUENCAS objectives, outputs and activities and several experts for a support mission that will provide their expertise and knowledge so that project activities are satisfactorily executed. Particularly, it is intended to support the project's local activities in the municipalities of Choluteca, Apacilagua, Concepcion de Maria, Duyure, El Corpus, El Triunfo, Marcovia, Morolica, Namasigue, Orocuina, San Marcos de Colon and Santa Ana de Yusguare, Soledad and Liure (the last two are located in the Department of El Paraiso) |
