| The Rural Observatories Network was created 6 years ago. It covers 14 different sites in the country and its role is to collect the same data every year from the same 500 households per site, analyse them, and identify trends. The data collected are very diverse and allow the government, the donors and civil society a better understanding of the impact of macro-economic decisions on the rural world. The project will identify 10 sites in the region, choose 50 households per site, fill out 15 page questionnaires, send them to the Instat (National Statistics Institute), analyse the resulting data, and prepare a report. The whole activity takes 4 to 5 months, involves one Supervisor and 5 field agents. |
