| CARE's objective is to establish 225 fully functioning farmer associations within four years in 12 postos administrativos of five districts in Cabo Delgado Province, a new geographical area for CARE. UMOKAZI, a local NGO, is responsible for the formation of the associations, while CARE manages the project, trains UMOKAZI staff and develops market links for associations. The project in Cabo Delgado is an outsourcing contract from the larger PAMA, which is a Ministry of Agriculture program financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development. | |
