Project Name:Post Flood Rehabilitation
Project Description:
Project Goal(s): To provide post-flood rehabilitation support to the victims of flooding in Dhanusha, Mahottari, and Banke districts of Nepal.

Project Outputs and/or Results:
• At least 193 poor and most marginalized households will be able to repair their houses through provided materials (such as bamboo, roofing materials etc).
• At least 193 households will have access to clean drinking water through the support provided for rehabilitation/installation of 49 tube wells.


Key Activities:

CARE Nepal, in coordination with the NRCS, DDRC and DHO, plans to conduct the following activities in six districts:

a) Provide support for housing construction materials to at least 193 poor and most marginalized households for reparining their houses most of which are completely destroyed by the floods (such as bamboo, roofing materials etc).
b) Provide support to rehabilitate/install 49 tube wells to provide clean drinking water to at least 532 households.

Other Marketing Requirements:
CARE Country Office will send in due course, upon request and at least when submitting interim and final reports project-related pictures and human interest stories in electronic form.
