Project Name:Emergency Assistance to Sustain Health Care Services
Project Description:
This project aims at providing an adequate level of health care coverage and quality basic health care provision in remote villages in the West Bank, and selected communities in the Gaza Strip.

Expected Results:

Result 1: At least 97 health facilities are operational in remote villages of the West Bank.
Result 2: At least 10 Palestinian health care NGO clinics in Gaza provided with essential emergency pharmaceuticals and disposables/supplies in a timely manner.
Result 3: Three Palestinian NGO hospitals in Gaza (Al Awda, Public Aid and El Wafa Rehabilitation Hospitals) are provided with essential emergency pharmaceuticals, supplies and emergency basic medical equipment in a timely manner. In addition, El Wafa Rehabilitation Hospital is provided with technical aids.
Result 4: The capacity of health professionals strengthened in Rational Use of Medication (RUM).
Result 5: The capacity of Health Educators strengthened to conduct health education sessions and consultations on Maternal and Child Health Care and Nutrition (MCH-N).
Result 6: As an emergency intervention, CARE supports the Central Drug Store with approximately 40 pharmaceutical items that are in very low stock (0 – 1 month)
