Project Description:
Project Goal(s): To contribute towards improving the livelihoods of Palestinian communities in West Bank andamp; Gaza Strip / Improved asset-base of vulnerable communities by increased food production and sustained income;
Project Outputs and/or Results:
Results 1
Household in vulnerable communities increased their purchasing power to secure most of their basic needs.

Result 2
Targeted hardship families have improved their diet and enhanced their nutritious meal intake.

Result 3
Targeted livestock breeders sustained their livestock.

Key Activities:
Activity for expected Result 1
- Action start-up phase (verifying data, staffing, coordination meetings with the communities in the different districts, formation of project committees, etc)
- Conduct a baseline survey
- Select and sign agreement with project beneficiaries, including women groups.
- Conduct training courses for the project beneficiaries
- Distribute project inputs to the project beneficiaries. The inputs include:
- 750 beehives for 250 households.
- 250 sets of beekeeping tools for households
- Materials to rehabilitate 325 Green houses.
- 80 Small green houses (70 M2)
- 37.5 tons of seed of wheat, barely, common vetch and alfa alfa
- 3,000 rabbits, 240 tons of rabbits feed and 1200 cages for the rabbits

Activity for expected Result 2
- Identify vulnerable/hardship households.
- Collect and distribute cheese

Activity for expected Result 3
- Identify veterinary services.
- Prepare the list of animal medicines.
- Procure and provide animal health care.
- Procure and distribute animal shed materials for the livestock breeders.
