Support to Vulnerable Population in Maniema via Food Security Interventions
Project Description:
The project will rehabilitate 45 Km of road between Kasongo town and Samba town, in Kasongo territory. Two-thousand IDPs and 1,000 vulnerable residents will be working on the road and will receive seeds and tools and/or cash against their work.The project will also provide training and small grants ($250 average) to local NGO/CBOs involved in food production and marketing activities, in order to reactivate food economy in the targeted area. 20,000 farmers will directly and indirectly benefit from the project's inputs(training, information and credit, rehabilitation of a key trade route).
