Project Name:Empowerment of Batwa Project
Project Description:
The Empowerment of Batwa project is part of a broad Rights, Equity and Protected Areas programme in south western Uganda. It seeks to secure social, cultural and economic rights of 500 Batwa women, men and children in 4 different locations in the districts of Kanungu and Kisoro. This will be achieved through promotion of social inclusion, and increasing economic choices of this ethnic minority group. The 3-year project that is funded by DANIDA will be implemented in partnership with 3 local civil society organisations.
