Earthquake in Afghanistan: The latest news & how you can help
On October 7, 2023, a 6.3-magnitude earthquake hit Herat, Afghanistan, killing over 2,000 people and causing extensive damage, especially in the Zindajan district. Amidst an existing humanitarian crisis, the earthquake has intensified needs for shelter, food, and medicine. CARE is assisting by distributing essentials and deploying health and livestock care teams.
