We, the undersigned Chief Executives of 12 humanitarian organizations, are writing to urgently appeal for the U.S. to step up its actions in achieving an immediate and lasting cessation of hostilities between Israel and Palestinian armed groups and in allowing unfettered and safe humanitarian access to provide life-saving relief to communities in need.

Enhancing Women’s Participation and Leadership in Humanitarian Action
The world urgently needs more adaptable and accessible funding models that recognize the unique contributions of women's rights organizations and women-led organizations (WROs/WLOs). Despite their crucial role in crisis response, women's potential as leaders in humanitarian action is often sidelined, perpetuating inequalities and undermining response effectiveness. A multifaceted and rights-based approach is essential to tackle internal organizational barriers and external socio-political challenges.
Nepal Food Systems Policy Actions
In 2021, CARE Nepal supported the government and the National Farmer Groups Federation (NFGF) to host seven independent dialogues to garner inclusive participation in the UN Food Systems Summit and support the creation of Nepal’s National Pathway. Dialogues were held in all seven provinces and centered around the theme “The Rights of Marginalized Communities are the Basis for a Sustainable Food System.” Following the dialogue series, a national print media campaign was launched to highlight the relevant issues raised during the dialogues. This policy brief offers an overview of the topics covered and desired policy outcomes from dialogue participants.

Mental health issues are one of the biggest impacts in COVID-19, and they are getting worse. 63% of women report mental health as one of their biggest needs right now. Women are more likely to prioritize mental health issues in COVID-19 than men--48% of women compared to 31% of men.
