Bellamy Young is an American actress and singer, known for her role as President Melody “Mellie” Grant on the ABC drama series Scandal (2012–2018), FOX’s Prodigal Son, and ABC’s Promised Land. Bellamy traveled with CARE to Rwanda where she drew inspiration from a VSLA member named Brigitte, who turned her first loan and five chickens into a thriving business in just 5 years.
