Relief efforts in Costa Rica
In Costa Rica, CARE implements a regional program called Nutriendo al Futuro with strategic partner Glasswing. The program is coordinated from Honduras and focuses on providing food for kids in schools located in impoverished areas from five provinces in the country (in five schools). In a pilot project, the partners are working with a group of mothers and their children in a collective vegetable garden for their own consumption and sales. The project also provides the space to discuss women’s rights.
