Relief efforts in Tonga
CARE has worked to support the needs of the people most severely affected by Cyclone Gita (2018) through improved shelter, household water collection, and recovery of livelihoods. The project emphasizes the participation of women, girls, and other at risk groups in emergencies with a focus on the barriers to their active participation in humanitarian decision-making.
