Noni Ellison McKee headshot

Noni Ellison McKee serves as Global General Counsel and Secretary of CARE and is a member of its Global Leadership Team. She leads CARE’s global legal function, advising executive leadership and the Board on governance, risk, compliance, and strategic matters that advance CARE’s humanitarian and development mission in more than 104 countries.

Noni brings extensive legal, executive, and international leadership experience to CARE. Prior to joining the organization in 2026, she served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Tractor Supply Company, a Fortune 300 public company. Previously, she served as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Corporate Secretary of Carestream Dental, a global healthcare technology company operating across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Earlier, she held senior legal leadership roles at Grainger and Scripps, and spent more than a decade at Turner Broadcasting, including a long-term assignment in Hong Kong supporting the Asia-Pacific region. During her law firm career, she advised clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions, including listings on the London and Toronto stock exchanges.

A passion for international engagement and service has shaped Noni’s career and leadership journey. As a Ralph Bunche Fellow at Howard University, she worked with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of African Affairs. During graduate school, she served as a Junior Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Accra, Ghana, participated in an international business exchange program in Manchester, England, and helped establish an international legal study program. These experiences sparked a lifelong commitment to cross-cultural collaboration, global engagement, and expanding opportunity, values that continue to guide her leadership and commitment to CARE’s mission.

Noni is equally committed to civic and community leadership. She previously served two terms as Board Chair of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, Vice Chair of the MARTA Board, and in leadership roles on the boards of Goodwill of North Georgia and the Atlanta Speech School. She is a Trustee of Berklee College of Music and a member of Delta Sigma Theta, The Links, the Rotary Club of Atlanta, and the Executive Leadership Council (ELC). She has long supported organizations dedicated to education, economic opportunity, and community advancement.

Noni has been recognized by The Legal 500 GC Powerlist, named one of the nation’s Top Corporate Counsel Women by Women Inc., and honored by the YWCA of Greater Atlanta and the State Bar of Georgia for her leadership in the legal profession and the community. She earned her bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Howard University and her J.D. and MBA from the University of Chicago, where she also completed a certificate in Health Administration and Policy.
