Helene Gayle Global Development Symposium
HerStory: The Worldwide Impact of #MeToo
At the 2018 Symposium, we explored the impact of the #MeToo Movement in the lives of women and girls around the world. 150 attendees joined us for an engaging debate on the roles of institutions and grassroots organizations in the growing movement to end gender based violence on a global scale, while celebrating the extraordinary contributions of Helene Gayle.
Marcelina Bautista was awarded the 2018 Helene Gayle Award for her fearless work defending women as the founder of the Center for Support and Training for Domestic Workers in Mexico.
