Wall Street Journal: "Congo braces for HIV surge after U.S. funding stops"

As part of their story on the impact of aid cuts in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) – a country facing a humanitarian crisis marked by a sharp increase in rape and sexual violence against women and girls –  the Wall Street Journal spoke to CARE teams in the DRC abt the shortage of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) kits. These kits are vital for preventing HIV infection following rape and sexual assault.
