These Syrian children are hearing for the first time

By CARE Staff January 17, 2019

A doctor looks at a smiling child wearing a hearing aid device.

When aid workers with CARE partner Syria Relief noticed that some of the Syrian children they were working with from war-torn from Aleppo and Idlib had hearing issues, they worked to set up doctor visits and hearing tests. Following their hearing assessments, those children are being given hearing aids. It’s a small but practical device that is completely altering the children’s ability and enthusiasm to talk, play, and learn.
