Relief Efforts in Costa Rica
In Costa Rica, CARE implements a regional program called Nutriendo al Futuro with strategic partner Glasswing. The program is coordinated from Honduras and focuses on providing food for kids in schools located in impoverished areas from 5 provinces in the country (in 5 schools). In a pilot project, the partners are working with a group of mothers and their children in a collective vegetable garden for their own consumption and sales. The project also provides the space to discuss women’s rights.
