Girls are strong, brilliant and creative, but the world doesn’t always give them the opportunity to be heard. In many places, their voices are silenced.

This International Day of the Girl, CARE is supporting the next generation of girls and their allies to make their voices heard and to make a better, more equal world.

Join us to make sure that every girl, no matter where she is, feels supported and heard.

Listen up as Girls Take The Mic!

In advance of International Day of the Girl, CARE held two workshops for girls in Rwanda and Los Angeles led by filmmaker and CARE advocate Zuriel Oduwole. The workshops harnessed the power of girls’ voices and provided storytelling and filmmaking techniques and training – in addition to confidence-building exercises – to help teenage girls tell their own stories, in their own way.

Hear what they had to say!
