In February 2024, CARE, in partnership with Takeda Pharmaceuticals, which provided financial support, launched the She Heals the World program. The program aims to provide 1,500 frontline community health workers in the Philippines with access to a comprehensive and standardized digital professional development platform by the end of 2026. Known as the HEAL Hub, this digital tool supports foundational courses including Being a Frontline Health Worker; Maternal Health; Family Planning; Newborn & Child Health; and Pandemic Response. Specialty courses in Oncology; Infectious Diseases; Non-communicable Diseases: Mental Health; and Disability. Frontline community health workers play a critical role in ensuring health care services are accessible at the community level. With Takeda’s funding, CARE will support the future of frontline community health workers by enhancing their capabilities through training and advocating for their improved agency and well-being from the first step to the last mile.
