COVID-19 completely overwhelmed India’s health system between April and June. Hospitals across the country ran out of beds, oxygen, and PPE.
CARE has been there providing emergency aid. We have reached over 10 million people with COVID-19 treatment, vaccines, and preventative care. We have directly facilitated 1.6 million vaccine doses and supported another 10 million doses through health partners.
We have helped India reach the incredible milestone of getting more than 50% of its eligible population at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Your support has made this progress possible, but the fight against COVID-19 in India and around the world continues.
